I FIXED IT!!

About a week ago, I turned the key to the #2 position and my pre-glow light didn't come on. I am not a mechanic, so that is when I get that sinking feeling in my stomache. I was happy to have kept my pickup truck for just such eventualities.

I found Diesel Giant, a great resource, for diagnosing glow-plug problems. They have photos illustrating the process too. I used a multi-tester to test the appropriate connections for voltage and resistance (ohms). I found no problems in any of the glow-plugs or wiring. I reattached the connectors in the relay box and then got in the car and turned the key. PRESTO!! I FIXED IT!!

Some people might challenge me, saying that I really did nothing. That couldn't possibly dampen my excitement at having fixed my car. Sure, the problem was evidently just a loose connection in the relay, but I FIXED IT!!
